Another way of mounting a nose ring
1 Attachment(s)
Hi everybody,
I would like to show the way I mounted a nose ring on my Arresti 3. I have been using this for over a year now and it has worked perfectly. The 'cone' is made up from 3 layers of glass and one layer of carbon which were laminated over a soda bottle. The air intake is directed directly at the main bearing of the engine. Hope this can bring you some idea's Regards, Jock |

Great job.
Nice bearing solution... we've been kicking a similar thought around towards the end of the Monitor v OS 1.40 thread. You've just gone for it 150%. |
RE: Another way of mounting a nose ring
Great Idea. What was the weight of the glass cloth and can carbon fiber?

RE: Another way of mounting a nose ring
Where can I find the nosering? I am using one in my Enigma and would like to get one for my Diesel as well. Is it made by CF engineering? I bought mine unpacked and it is a purple one for YS. Thanks in advance! |

ORIGINAL: eyeflyok Great Idea. What was the weight of the glass cloth and can carbon fiber? 4.0 ounce E-glass - 4 layers (possibly you can go to 3 layers here but I haven't tried that) 3.5 ounce Carbon - 1 layer both bi-directional. laminated with epoxi filled with micro balloons. Regards, Jock |
