Python 2x2

I've got a python 2X2 pattern ship with 1100 square inch wing ( large ones), and I noticed that the trailing edge is 90 degrees from the wing root line, unlike the actual drawings ( plans ) show, where they have some taper..
The question is, do the 1100 sq. inch have no taper at all in the trailing edge ?

Thanks in advance

REFINED

I believe Henry Piorun made these changes after the original design (on the plans) so you have the newest version. Im not sure exactly why but I believe the straight trailing edge tracked better but possibly sacrificed its snapping capabilities.

Re: REFINED

Thanks Red.
Why do you believe that snap capabilities are reduced with the trailing edge straight ?

snap

with the tapered wing you have less surface area at the wingtip and the average wing chord is swept forward slightly so it is easier to induce a stall. Most aerobats have a double tapered wing for this reason.

Python 2x2

Maybe for CG considerations? it will lengthen the nose moment with a straight trailing edge and shorten it with the tapered TE.

thus allowing a lighter engine. Absolutely.
