Anybody seen a flyer for this contest? Is the field open for practice Friday afternoon? What time will they start Saturday?

The field is always open on Friday for practice. Saturday should have the pilots meeting at 8:30 or 9:00. See ya then!

Hey Jon. No flyer for this year. Their website is: ocalaflyingmodelclub.com At least it confirms the contest will be held as published in NSRCA's D3 2007 Events page, even though it shows the Ocala event as "Tentative".

Wow... 40 contestants and 5 rounds in 85 degree weather. There was a downfall to this, it was windy, about 10-15, occasionally 20. No one had any problems with this, but during Saturday mornings practice, Randy B. lined up too far out and landed in the trees. I believe the award he won was for Special Recognition?
I'll have pics and results later, need to go wash some of this sun and windburn off... ;) |
