The mount is the tallest they sell, the header is the high rise.
I will post the numbers tomorrow if I still have the invoice.

GREAT PLANE !!!

Congratulations on your Shinden, I have been considering getting one for myself but wanted to wait for some more to be built to see the feedback. Could you please comment a little bit more on how everything got together (any problems or errors in the kit), how long did it took you to get it ready, all your installation looks very clean and first class! Also, the hard question: how much does it weight and most important: When are you going to fly it?:D (and post your opinion)

thanks

I'll attest to that! The upgrade to the Shinden definitely showed in Jon's flying this weekend. The D6 Intermediate Class has a bunch of talented pilots and the new plane gave Jon an edge. Just wait until he gets used to it.

Has anyone built an electric version of the shinden??? Harold... [email protected]

Don McCullough 06-10-2007 01:44 PM

RE: Shinden Build

More importantly, is it possible to build an electric version at or under weight?

Yes, it's possible. The first ARF Shinden in the states was electric.
My Shinden was in the second batch and was lighter than the first, The third batch
will be 3 to 6 ounces lighter than the second. If you have any more questions you
should email Bryan Hebert ( The designer of the Shinden ) [email protected]
or David at BVM Props [email protected]

Hey Guys
I test flew a new Shinden today after crashing my #1 two weeks ago
I have the new updated Shinden
both wings are 13.5 onces average
the stabs are 4 onces each
the wing tube is 4 onces
the stab tubes are 1.5 onces
the fuse with the chin, canopy base and rudder weighed 2lb,6oz
the clear canopy weighed 2 onces
I was able to asmbl and paint this airplane in 6 days
the total finish weight is 10lbs and 6.5 onces
I`m very pleased with it
all the small problems are corrected from the first run like wing inc. and weight issues
just thought I would pass this on
for those of you with planes on order from BVM
didn`t take any pics might be some taken at the Nat`s
