Very interesting scheme... I'm enjoying seeing what people do with the blank slate that was made available... I think that now makes 4 different schemes I've seen on this plane... and I know for a fact that it'll be 5 shortly... Nice looking ship there... don't forget that the designer is available for any and all trimming questions you might have...

I just went back and looked at the pics again and noticed the different spinner shape... makes it look like a pylon racer or something... very nice touch!!!

Hey Guys-If I may ask-What onboard radio are you using?-Is the "Shinden" fuze/material such that it causes 2.4 signal blocking issues?-(I have a "Shinden" NIB)-

you will not have any problem with the 2.4 stuff

Oh man that is GORGEOUS!!!!!! I love that red candy. it might get a little difficult to see on a cloudy day though, I had one in candy red and with a little overcast, it turned black 6 feet off the ground LOL

Still a very beautiful plane!

test flew the shinden this weekend,engine ran flawlessly.hmm i read the instructions who woulda thought.my complements to bryan hebert.this plane is amazing will make you a winner.wind or no wind it fly's the same in uplines,everything.rolls require no rudder.can't wait to take it to a contest .bryan if your out there i owe you a whole bunch of beer!!and a big ole' steak,thank you!!

I really like the way the Shinden appears to fly.. I'd like to get one for the nats, but it has to make weight with my setup.. That's the only reason I was asking really..

Hi Guy's,

I have just joined this great site and wanted to say hello....... So hello.

I live in the UK and have been flying on and off for about 31yrs - my Dad taught me to fly when I was 8 or 9 yrs old when pattern planes in the UK were the like of Curares / Bulldog / the Flair Tornado and such like - so F3a is in my blood! I have tried getting into 3D but I still fly to smooth to get things locked in as they should be.

I had spent ages looking around for a nice F3A composite airplanes that I could afford and adventually came across the Shinden and I have ordered one from Throttlestore.com - the Pink version - not sure what batch it has come from, but I would be interested to know. The plane is very well rated by you guy's and the price is pretty good from Throttlestore 999 euros with tax and shipping in with that price.

I will be doing an electric version and I know some of you may frown at this but my chosen power plant is a Dualsky motor. I have tried the Hackers and Plettenberg motors, but I have to say the Dualsky is a great motor! I'm running one in a 12lb 2mtr Funtana at the moment which I know is a bit draggy, but the performance is fantastic and when flown smooth the braking on the down lines is superb. I'm using a mix of Flightpower 5S 3700's or TP 5S 3850's as 10s and after a 8min flight I'm lucky if I put back any more that 2200 / 2300 into the packs.

Anyway back to the Shinden....... I'm like a child at the moment! I can not wait to get this plane!! do any of you know whether the stock undercart will be usable with an electric set up? I'm throwing a 22 x 12 APC E on the Funtana and I would like to try that combo in the Shinden. Also, I fly JR radio and have enough DS8511 servo's to kit the Shinden out with - are they to much? should I be looking at the DS8411 instead. Any comments would be welcome.

I'm not really looking to compete, I just wanted to own something that was a bit special and in turn this would make me concentrate and get some disipline back in my flying ( been very lazy and getting bored!! ). Having said all that, I may end up doing some local comps and see where I can go from there.

Sorry if I have bored some of you / all of you! but I have found this forum and your opinions interesting and helpful....... That's why there is a Shinden on it's way to me..... So it's your fault:D well that's what I have told my wife.

I look forward to some feedback and I will of course keep you informed on the Shindens progress. The build will be a bit slower as I have my own business to run and my time has to be put into that first.

As for the Shinden. I've heard that the stock gear will work for electric.. If I end up getting one, I will probably replace them if I find the need though. I don't like replacing props..

When you get yours, if you have a scale, could you weigh all of the pieces and post here?

Thanks for your post, the welcome and the news re the stock gear being okay for use with electric - I hope it is or otherwise it will be an order being placed with Bolly!

Scales are at the ready for weighing all the parts, I hope to get the kit this week as Throttlestore say delivery is normally 1 to 2 days. I hope it's not the odd occasion where it may take upto 2wks[:o]

Hope you enjoy your Shinden
make sure the wings are set to 1/2 deg pos from the factory
and the C/G sligtly in front of the wing tube
adjust the stabs after the first flight to mach your elevators and you will not have
any mix anywhere
I hope you are able to make weight with your elc setup
keep us informed,, your probably buying a Shinden from a older batch they were on the heavy side
call the dealer and try to get info on when it was recieved there ,,,,just for your own knowledge
e-mail me if you need any help or advise on set up or flying

Hi,

I also just ordered a Shinden from Throttle Store. I was informed that the Shinden models they had in stock were produced in October/November 2007, not sure if that is a particularly good or bad batch weight wise... Mine is the white/blue color scheme.

CAJUN,HOW CAN I SLOW MY SNAPS DOWN?.I FLY ADVANCED AND I HAVE A 45 DEGREE DOEN LINE WITH A SNAP AND I HAVE A TENDENCY TO OVER ROTATE FASTER THAN YOU CAN SAY TOMBIGBEE.I REDUCED THE RUDDER UNTILL IT BARREL ROLLS,THE ADDED BACK IN,BUT ITS STILL PRETTY WILD.ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Thanks for your post, I know ''you're the man'' when it comes to the Shinden! I can not wait to get it. Thank you also for the set up info, I will do as you say - do not be suprised if I pick your brains again.

I have only one email address for throttlestore and they have never come back to me or answered my queries, so I have no idea from what batch this kit is from - I hope it's not an early one as I know electric set ups can get a bit on the heavey side.

If like Mola's Shinden - a late 2007 batch - do you know if that is one of the better / lighter batch's?
