This what ?
The word "this" is not necessarily related to post #1 .

But you knew that. Let's not get into a semantics discussion. Shall we start talking about the definition of the word "is" and totally sidetrack the thread?
Back on topic..
Can anyone confirm what WhoDaMan is saying?

RE: Horizon stops all sales ON JR RADIOS
Just as easy to write "If you call Horizon they will confirm that they have stopped all its sales of Radio's"
Allen's question is remaining unanswered.

Edited to correct eady to easy

He means that if you call horizon they will confirm what he is alleging in his first post. i.e. they have stopped all sales of JR radios.
But you knew that. Let's not get into a semantics discussion. Shall we start talking about the definition of the word "is" and totally sidetrack the thread?

RE: Horizon stops all sales ON JR RADIOS
Just a hunch- since you can send in your 12X, 11X, 9503, 9303 2.4, DX7 or DX6i for a service center update to get the DSMx system, I'm just guessing that maybe they're showing "out of stock" on the radios because they've pulled 'em, are doing the updates, and will ship them with the DSMX update already installed.
As I read it, the transmitters capable of DSMX will also let you select DSM2 to remain compatible with any DSM2 receivers, BNF, etc that you have. The DX8 apparently has had the DSMX capability all along, so has the AR8000 RX and the AR600 RX.
I also note that this update is not free unless you purchased your system within a certain time frame, etc. It would cost me 75 bucks to update my DX7. I haven't had any issues with it where I fly, but it might be worth it to get the new system "just because".

I don't think DSMx is needed, unless you plan to go to Nall or you fly at a field where there's 75 - 100 radios turned on all the time.

RE: Horizon stops all sales ON JR RADIOS
My DX7 is staying here. It will not go across the border at cost of $75.00 USD plus any trans-border expenses.
It has not failed since the original problem which I am convinced was not the fault of the radio.
Any radio can be blasted out by a powerfull radiated signal. A condition when the bind is normal but the data is washed out.
The "just because" is taken advantage of by the distribution system.

If you haven't been following Zor's antics this is about par.
Perhaps a bit on the positive side as it is less than 3000 words.

RE: Horizon stops all sales ON JR RADIOS
John Redman wrote me and said I can post it
They are reprogramming all of them for DSMX. Reason being is for most who buy the JR 9503, 11X, and 12X; they are purchasing a high end, pro-class radio. For this it is believed they would be the ones who most likely woudl be interested in DSMX so that is the reason. Nothing more. Really just trying to serve the end JR user the best we can.
Unfortunately, all neccessary material required to ensure this would happen before the release was late (seems to be the story of our life). So we have had to hold sales off for a few days to get it done.
DSM2 is still a very solid system which I will be flying at Florida Jets.
Hope this helps. You can post this up and say it came from the Team.

Don't you just love it?
Original post could have said:
"New JRradios will include the DSMXupgrade .
We regret a temporary hold on shipments till the upgrade is completed."
But no
We need a " breaking news at 10:00!!!!" scare approach.

What about us 9303 guys. I have a brand new one sitting in my hobby room, will we need to send them in for the update?

RE: Horizon stops all sales ON JR RADIOS
I just bought a 9303 with a Spectrum module and an AR9000 RX here on RCU last week. Can't wait to open the box and install the RX in my Extra.
