Default Which servos for my plane

Hey gang

I am getting back into the hobby, I am currently building a Telemaster to start with,It's almost finished. I have a 4star 120 waiting for me. I don't understand all the electrical stuff about servos and such.

I have a Futaba 6ex FASSTTx to fly the 4star with. I don't understand what servos I need for the 4star. I do prefer Futaba because that's the brand I used to fly with before.

If you do know of a quality more inexpensiveservo beside Futaba, I would like to know about it. BUT I don'twant to sacrifice qualityfor a few bucks.

Try the Futaba S3010's they are high torque and very reasonably priced at 23 bucks each. 72 ounces @ 4.8 volts and 90 ounces @ 6 volts. Should be fine for the Large Telemaster and/or your 4star. HTH, Johnny Rotten

Good advised , however a 4 star 120 is a good candidate for gas engines as Dle 30, for that reazon, I would consider futaba s3305 for some bucks more. That is what I did.

IMHO, any BB servo from Futaba or Hitec will be good. I mainly use Hitec HS425BB @ $12.99 on all of my planes from my trainer to my 81" Cub, 68" Sukhoi and 66" Dragon Lady. They have been very reliable. +1 on the Futaba S3010 as recommended by Rotten40851 if you need a high torque servo.

I agree, the HS425BB is an excellent servo. The dual ball bearings give smooth movement and the out put shaft lasts forever. And for $12.99, you can't go wrong.

I have used the Hitec 645MG servos with great success over the years.
