JR S791 replacement
I need a HV version of this servo. I have a different brand retract servo, but its too large for the retract mount. The 791 is the recommended servo for the H9 retracts, but they are limited to 4.8 volts, so unless I add a third battery pack and special wiring/switch setup, I wont be able to use them. I would prefer one that is not $60 each as well if possible.

I had the same problem with my life packs and this servo. You can purchase a diode which will drop the voltage down to an acceptable level. I purchased mine from bad brad graphics. I can't remember which one I purchased, but I have used both of them for years with no issues. I purchased 1 diode for my dle 20 ignition (old ignition) and 1 for my jr 791. I believe the $5.00 product (picture 4) was for the servo and the $11.00 product (bottom right) for my ignition. I would give Brad a call and explain what you're doing and he'll get you setup up. Great Guy!

I know Brad, done a lot of business with him over the years. Very stand up guy. He attends most of the swap meets in lower WI and upper IL. Looks like I will have to bite the bullet and spend the $120 for a pair of these since I can't find a similar one in stock anywhere, and this one has the highest torque rating of them all.
Since my Y reversing harness is 4.8 v I have to use a regulator after all, so I will just make up a splitter to tie the two channels into one power side, and separate the signals for the retracts and flaps, or if I find I need more nose weight, can always add a third battery pack.
