Gee, we used to repair receivers, but now I favor just replacing them. It's usually not cost effective to repair one unless it's something really simple like damaged antennas. If the receiver is at fault, the manufacturer should take it back in an exchange for a new one.

Well, one of the major radio repair business' told me there really is no service to the 2.4 radios. No pots, transistors, etc. The only thing I had in mind was to replace the capacitor. Even with that, he wouldn't touch it. The distributor has dropped my brand so I started buying up components as well as receivers. The old stuff gets stripped for antenna wires and then will be trashed.
We are definitely in a "throw away" society!

As recently as July, Mike Greenshields at Global Hobby Services (Hobby People) has said they still have parts and a part time technician to do repairs.

Or you could try the new distributor:

The radios are still made; they just killed the Airtronics name in the US. Everything is surface mount built today about the only thing you can do is look at the boards with a high power magnifying glass and look for broken solders. And there is not many of them anymore. A chip and some plugs is about all there is.
