Hi guys I recently brought a futaba 18 sz and I have been flying with the antenna up at 45 degrees pointed away from the transmitter and when the model was flying in front of me I'm getting lock outs that last about a second or 2
have any one els experience this with this radio because I have a friend who has had the same problem with the same radio and was forced too replace

i have performed a range test and it meets the spec as stated in the mauel but dose not have the same range as my 12 fg 2.4 module radio ???

I have been flying with a 12 fg with a 2.4 module and never had a problem with the antana in same position

are there a bad bad patch of 18 sz

you are flying through the antenna's null zone. the weakest signal is where the tip of the antenna points. try laying the antenna so that it has it's long side parallel to the runway/most used direction of flight.

Ok thanks I'll move the Ariel and try it I think this could be the problem but I have never had this problem before
