Default JR8411's vs. Hitec 5945's

Guys I am in the market for 5 digital servos after Christmas. I have read and seen alot of good things about the hitec 5945's digitals. And JR 8411's just as well.

But what I am concerned about it gear train wear. Its been all over the board here that after about 40 flights the 8411s start to show a little slop in the gear train. Does that happen w/ the 5945's.
Since the JR8611's are coming out, I can find 8411's about the same price at the 5945's so price isn't really the object. I just want the best servo.

I don't need the 8611's because they are out of my budget and would be an overkill on my 30% Cap.

Check out the new hitec 5975. They have the karbonite gear train and are supposed to be 5 times stronger than plastic and much less likely to develop slop. They arent rated as high in torque but they are still well over 100 oz. All metal gear servos develop slop. some faster than others. personally I think a lot of it has to do with how much your motor vibrates your airframe

I have the HS-5975 servos and metal arms.
They are great servos and it just takes a little to get accustomed to the high pitch singing

Hi tec servos will get slop too. The main difference I found is that the JR's will usually completely strip faster making you go ahead and replace the gear and the Hi tec will eventually get so sloppy you have to replace it anyway. I guess it also matters how hard you plan on beating on them as well. Both companies will replace the gears for free so if you have a preference for one or the other go for it. Neither servo will dissapoint you. I have been using the 5945's for a while and like them for the extra speed and tq over the 8411's.

One nice thing with the hitec servo is that you can program it to take out the deadband if you want so it will stay more true to center and possibly make your gear last a little longer.

I had 8411's and sold them all to buy 5945 (rudder) 5925's (elevator halfs) 5975's (ailerons) in my 27% plane, and 5975's in my Funtana's Elevator/Rudder for the following reasons: less expensive, lighter, more speed at a given torque, more torque, programmability. I'll probably be selling the 9411's in the Funtana's ailerons here soon for another pair of 5925's. These are just my reasons, not saying anything is better.

The fact that the Hitec's are programmable made the decision easy for me. And I really like the Hitec programmer to boot.
