JR 8103 Problem---Need Expert Advice
[]Just got a new JR XP8103 for Christmas and the aileron channel does not seem to be operable. When you enter into the setup, the menu that shows the control throws in real time shows no movement on the aileron channel at all. Any ideas on a quick fix, or do I send it back?

You didn't say what you have tried or your experience or is you have used JR before.
You also didn't say what model type and wing type you have set.
I would:
1. Go to the set-up menu and do a RESET. This clears everything so you can start over.
2.Try another servo. Swap a couple of the servos around to make sure it isn't the servo.
3. Make sure you are plugged into the correct channel. I don't know about sailplane or heli, but if you are new to JR, the channels are TAER Gear, Flap, Spoiler. Aileron is channel 2.
4. Try another receiver.
5. It's not a Mode I or something, is it?
Give us some more information. There are plenty of us who may be able to help.

WT,
The only way a healthy 8103 can do what you're describing... no movement of aileron graphics on the [SERVO] screen... would be if aileron travel on the [TRVL ADJ.] screen has been set to zero, left and right. In this case, a "MDL Reset" from the setup menu, as suggested by Ed, is in order. Or go to the [TRVL ADJ.] screen and adjust servo travel. In any case, I wouldn't bother with the servo swapping; if you have no aileron movement on the [SERVO] screen, you sure as heck won't get any from the servos either.

Thanks Guys. A Reset of that model seemed to cure the problem. Sorry for not giving enough info, but I am very new to computer radios and J/R for that matter. Thanks again.
