Default Rx Crystal compatibility

Is it ok to swap the Rx crystal from a FMA Fortress 8 channel receiver to a GWS 4 channel receiver? Could I damage anything finding out? Both are in the high range of channels (one is 42 the other is 55) and both are Futaba type shift.

Generally speaking crystals are not interchangeable from one OEM to another... BUT in some cases the required specifications are the same and it works. First consideration is single or dual conversion RX crystals do not interchange. In your case this is a problem I believe...
