receiver crystal
hello all
I have a futaba mcr-2ms reciever and a jr transmitter. the question is the receiver frequency is 27MHz band and my transmitter is a 75MHz, since they are both for land use could I put in my 75MHz crystal in the receiver??? If not does anybody make a 27MHz transmitter all the ones at the local hobby shop were 75MHz??

RE: receiver crystal
On the crystal---no.
I believe JR, Futaba and Airtronics all make 27 mhz versions of their surface radios. It will probably be a lot cheaper to buy another 75 mhz receiver than a new 27 mhz xmtr.

Here's something else to think about. You share 27MHZ with garage door openers, and other unlicensed applications. There's a reason why R/C is now mostly in the 75MHZ band - there's no competition.
