Battery charger
I receantly got a Futaba fpt5uaf transmitter without acharger. What voltage of charger do I need.
I have several chargers, The center pin on the radio is larger than other Futaba chargers. I s the center pin on the radio pos. or neg.
Your help wil be greatly appreciated

Unless you are going to remove the battery and use a peak detecting charger, I would use the correct wall charger.

The center pin on futaba transmitter is positive. Any charger that puts out a constant current of 50 mA at over 12 volts will work OK. That is more or less what the standard "wall-wart" chargers that come with radio systems are doing. If you have chargers, pick one that charges at a constant current of 50 mA and leave it on for about 14 hours. Many transmitters have fuses and/or diodes between the charging jack and the battery. that is why the previous comment says to either remove the battery and charge it outside the transmitter....or use the factory-type charger.
