Default 6V Nimh peak question

I just started running 5 cell 1050 mah rx Nimh batteries. After about my 8th flying day out...it seems that I can't get a full charge without a false peak. I get like 9 minutes of charge on it and my triton then ends the charge. What Voltage is the 6V pack at when at peak? Sorry for the blockhead question

Thanks!

Default RE: 6V Nimh peak question

I have a couple of NiMh packs that exhibit this same behavior. I'm using an orbit microlader (similar to triton). They should be about 7 volts when first charged. I often set the peak detection to "nicd" for these packs. it still works. the peak detection for nicd is a little more agressive. I have never had a situation where the charger continue forever. Even when set to "nicd" the orbit still shuts off after the packs are charged. My NiMh will do this especially at higher charge levels (like 1C or higher)
