Is this something new? What happened to the Stylus? I'm sure they would have left that feature in.

I went to the Airtronics website and don't see any mention of an RD8000. If you are talking about the Stylus, yes, it has that feature.

Default Airtronics Rd8000 ?

Last week I was in the market for a new radio and asked Airtronics to send me their latest catalog; which they did for free (thanks).

RD8000 - New Computer system

The systems features look the same as the 6000 super with the following exceptions:

8 Channel instead of 6
10 model memory instead of 8
6 compensation mixes instead of 2
Dual Elevator channel feature - New feature

Default RD 8000

Questions about the new RD 8000:

1. Will it transmit both PCM 512 (Infinity PCM Rx) and 1024 (Stylus PCM Rx) ?

2. Does it have a removeable Tx module? Is it the same as the Stylus or Infinity module? Or a totally new unit?

Any information much appreciated.

The RD8000 does not have a removable tx module. I ordered one today. It does have all the other features I was looking for. THANKS CyberPilot for the info.

Default rd 8000

Just returned from the WRAM's show. STill not a lot of info on the RD8000. It's supposed to be available next month.

Does anyone know if the added channels are proportional or switched?

Default RD 8000 - coming soon

The RD 8000 should be here right at the beginning of March. The release was originally scheduled for December/January, but has been pushed back a couple of times.

I think it is going to be a great radio for just about anyone.

Chris.
