Aluminum Control Arm With Metal Clevis
Is it safe to use a metal clevis like the DuBro solder link, with an aluminum control arm?
I was wondering if this would cause radio interference?

I don't know about radio interference, but you will certainly run the risk of the aluminum control arm corroding due to chemical reaction.

Greg,
Any time you have metal rubbing together you run the risk of creating a RF signal. Whether or not it causes interference depends on factors, not the least of which is how well your receiver filters extraneous noise and how close it is to the source.
I'm not sure if this helps.

I have been running the aluminum control arm supplied with Hitec digital servos for quite some time with Sullivan metal clevises on several gas models. No problem whatsoever to date. In the old days this was a problem, I haven't seen it crop up in quite a few years thought.

Besides the risk of RF crashing your plane, why ruin an exspensive arm from metal to metal contact wearing the holes out. Use a good quality ball link at the servo arm

It kind of sounds like a ball link would be the way to go on the servos, if I decide to use the aluminum arm. This is a Hitec servo and the aluminum arm comes with it, along with the standard nylon arms.
I don't even know of a good 4-40 link with a nylon pin in it. It seems as if all the links are going to metal pins.
What do all of the hot shot flyer's use with their aluminum arms?
The reason I asked in the first place was because I noticed that my servos would start moving when I would touch a screwdriver to the engine when the receiver was on, and the engine not running. I also thought this was a problem of the past.
