JR Transmitter and Futaba Receiver
Just a simple question. Is there a way to change my Futaba reveiver to make it work with JR transmitter? Channel 20 on both. I've heard about negative phase shift on one and not the other. Just wondering if anything can be done. I Know there are units sold in the marketplace as "univesal" receivers. That's what I plan to buy if there isn't an easy change for the Futaba receiver. Sorry if this has already been covered.

I don't think there is anything you can do to fix the negative pulse / positive pulse issue. The "independent" manufacturers of receivers (FMA, Berg, GWS, etc.) generally have either a switch, or more recently auto-switching to select the right mode. This way they can work with either system. I have never seen a JR receiver or Futaba receiver that would work with the opposite system.

RE: JR Transmitter and Futaba Receiver
The Futaba receiver cannot be changed.
Hitec has at least one receiver that can be switched via a jumper between positive and negative shift.
The Polks Seeker receivers are supposed to detect the shift and the channel and lock in until you do something to reset it. (www.polkshobby.com)
I know there are others that either detect the shift automatically or can be switched.

RE: JR Transmitter and Futaba Receiver
JR sells a "Universal" reciever in their JR Sport line that can be switched from positive to negative shift, and it works...shamed to admit it, but Ive got one. It works fine with my Futaba radio.
