Hi there,
This is directly off of Futaba's web site under FAQ's.....
Exponential Rate
Offers servo travel that is not directly proportional to stick travel. Control response is milder below half-stick, but becomes increasing stronger as stick travel approaches 100%. Great for aerobatics and trouble situations.
Hope this helps.

joss_stick, the expo feature is nice on that radio....makes your flying smoother.....what Cloud Puncher has posted is exactly how it works.....you'll have slighter servo movement towards the center-point of the sticks......so basically your flying will seem less jerky.
Just remember this, you want to set the expo as a NEGATIVE number....if you don't it will have the reverse effect, and the plane will be very twitchy!!
A good place to start is about -25 to -30% on the elevator and ailerons, about -15 to -25% on the rudder.

Not a problem. I'm not here much anymore anyway. It's different enough there shouldn't be any confusion. I had a Joss Stick too and that's how I got it. Something about those planes!
I'll pass the Joss Stick torch to you. I've about burned out anyway .. .. ..
Good Luck!
