Default HS 85BB question

I am curently building a twin (kit bashing of two sig wonder, see thread "sig wonder twin")
Because of the curious design of that plane I have some dificulties to locate my rudder servo

the only place I Found is outside the plane on the fuselage, nothing very particular, but the problem is that it will be just in the blast of the exhaust.

So my question is:" Is a HS85BB able to work in a environement of of glow engine exhaust residues ?"

If not, does a heavy duty micro servo able to do that exist ?

thanks

Default HS 85BB question

Hitec peoples are honest guys, here is the answer to the question

Hello Philippe,

Eventually, that servo will fail due to the oil getting into the case. Unfortunately, Hitec does not have any micro servos that will be resistant to that.

Default HS 85BB question

The only true fuel/water proof servos we have are the 9XX or 59XX series. They use 7 o-rings in the case including one at the top.

You cougld use a little vaseline on the output shaft to protect it for a while but you would need to maintain it to keep it from getting in after a while.

Mike.
