Default servo ratings

Has anyone done ant testing to see if the large servos really meet the published specs. I recently see on the web site for multiplex where the rating is only 255 inoz for the jumbo servo, it was 291 in oz. The holding power is now 480 and was listed as 890 for the same servo.

I emailed mutliplex about it and they say something to the fact the servo companies rate there servos with dry cell batteries. Any truth to this? Wonder if there is really any standard???

Hitec servos are rated at 4.8V and 6V even. This means that you will get slightly better performance from a fully charged pack. Some of the companies rate their servos at 5.4V (4 cell) and 6.75V (5 cell). Keep that in mind if you want to compare apples to apples.

Mike.
