Bypass charging diode Prism 7x
I would like to bypass the charging diode on my Prism 7x. I saw a picture awhile ago of the circuit board, and inst. on how to locate and solder a shunt across the diode, but now that I want to do it, I can't find the URL. Help
Thanks

While I cannot help you with the URL, I'll tell you what I did with my radios.
I removed the battery, carefully removed the rear cover, and VERY CAREFULLY removed the circuit board as far as I could. (Try not to mess with the gimbal or other attached wires.) From the charge jack I traced the circuit to the diode bridge. I soldered a small, thin, piece of wire across the diode's solder points without removing the diode and was done.
Just make sure you know what a diode looks like and insulate the wire to prevent cross voltage shorting or other problems.
(I've done it to five radios without a glitch.)
