Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM giveaway
Just wondering how many of you have received your free 2.4 receiver and how long it took you to get it. Still waiting for mine, going on 3weeks. I am assuming 4 to 6 weeks.

I mailed mine on 3/21. On another forum, members report getting theirs at around 3-4 weeks, most of them live in the upper midwest and said they came FedEx ground. I''ll chime in when mine show up.

I ordered my complete dx7 system with 2 extra AR7000 Rx''s on 3-21-08,,, came out to 598 bucks and some change. I sent my paper work in the following day.
Today is 4-14-08 and I received one AR9000 Rx today,,, NOT VERY HAPPY[sm=angry_smile.gif]
I bought the 2 extra AR7000''s and expected 2 of the same as per The Great Giveaway deal. I am not able to use the 9000 because its to big for my application for Pylon Racing.
I wonder how many others got their deal messed up by Horizon?
Thanks Jr Spektrum Horizon for messing up my order and for keeping my other planes on the ground

I bought and extra ar7000 and an extra 921. With the idea I could use the smaller 7000 in some of my planes.
Surprise!!.....I received an ar9000 and a 921 with the giveaway deal. I guess I came out OK as I just need to swap the extra 9 channel for one of my 7 channels in my bigger planes.

Sounds like they may be in short supply of AR7000? Seems like a well intended (if not always desirable) substitution.
Gotta give them credit for trying...

tell you the truth they can keep the spectrum radios. I got me spectrum 7 and just got me the Jr 9303 2.4 for my big planes and I just lost my Zeroli Stuka today due to radio malfunction[&o]. Last year I lost my September Fury[], It just decided to go free flight and found it 2 miles away. So I'm really thinking about going back[>:].

OK update here for my SNAFU,,, on the 3rd call, in 3 days, that I made I finally contacted the sales guy that sold me the DX7 and the 2 extra AR7000 Rx's at Horizon. Told him I didn t want the AR9000 and he said no worries I'll send you a return packing slip to return it,,, I said cool.
I then PDF'd copies of all paper work back to him and he couldn t understand this SNAFU either,,, so hopefully I'll get them 2 FREE Great Give Away AR7000 Rx's soon,,, and yes they were out of stock the past few weeks but now have plenty on hand.
Bummer about those Giant Warbirds going in,,,

RE: Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM giveaway
Horizon received my voucher on the 31st of March, and the two new receivers shipped yesterday, the 17th of April, from the California warehouse, Fedex ground. Should be here Monday or Tuesday..
Shipping info is available on the "my account" page at www.horizonhobby.com ....go to "order history"
They got my order exactly right...a 6200 and a 9000...I was hoping for a mixup too and maybe a couple 9100's!!!

Could not get the order history deal to work. I ordered my a couple of days before V2plus10 did and we are in the same neck of the woods. I should see mine by next week sometime I hope.

Both my receivers arrived today also. Unfortunately, the AR9000 does not have the Quick Connect update, and the AR6200 has the update on only the main receiver, the satellite does not have Quick Connect...!! So, back in the box they go, and back to Horizon for an update....

Yep, Check my receivers for the qiuck connect update. Already ready updated. Seems weird how some are and some not. I wonder if horizon has a way of checking them before being shipped? Would save a lot of hassle down the road seems like.
