Hi Hilarious,
I sent you an email a few days ago asking if you could email me Ultra Stick Crow setup I haven't heard back and wasn't sure you got the email. I have the new JR Data Transfer system to use with my 9303 so if you could email me the file from your 9303 I could upload it to my 9303. For the life of me I can't figure out how to program the crow setup. The quote below is one where you offered to email the file to another member. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

If you need some of the basic setups like dual ailer, dual elevator or an Ultra Stik Crow let me know and I will email them to you.

Some decade when JR catches up with the rest of the world, they will put a flash card into their transmitters. They had the chance with the 12X and blew once again.

Superdave,

IF you have the transmitter on AND you insert a plug into the trainer port, the system will think you are using the Training Facility. Once you remove the connect it will revert back to normal.

IF it doesn't then there is a problem.

Slarty,

When theres nothing plugged into the back trainer "DSC" plug the display says "Trainer: NORM" where it used to say in big letters "JRPROPO"

If I plug into the back with the transmitter OFF it will power on and the display will show in big letter "JRPROPO" again like normal, soon as i power on with the switch it goe back to "Trainer:NORM"

This is ALL models, Ive played and played and cant get back.

The only thing i did was copy model to my computer, I had never used this for training.

I need to find out if its common, want tyo know if the JR PC Data Interface did it, If so then im VERY concerned because it changed something in my transmitter and i NEVER sent any setting TO it, only saved from it to my computer.... makes me wonder what else did it change?

Dave, I think the CPU has become confused and has set a trainer condition. Try a model reset on a spare model memory. If it still shows that Trainer Norm then you have a problem.

When you plug in the connector, it sends a signal to the processor that causes condition changes and signal rerouting. It MAY be something as simple as the connector socket on the antenna pcb has failed OR the CPU is gone Tango Uniform. If this is the case, then send it back to Horizon stating the exact conditions that led to this failure.

Well after days of playing and doing everything i could think of I got it back to normal.

I plugged in and out a trainer cord and wiggled it....... So now i think its either a defective trainer jack or software bug.

If you run into the same problem PLEASE let me know

Does anyone know if JR is planning an update soon?

If so, will it be at a price?

Sure wish they still had a forum going...

Thanks
Bob

I been checking for an update, One that will show timer settings and see my transmitter as a X9303 like it is instead of a XP9303.

Update to the software should be free.

Yea, missing JR forum really bad.... it wasnt a dictator ship like the Futaba one.

Guys with Vista,
Ok, here is a bit of an update of sorts and it is free (well you know how much it is worth if it is free right?). Vista users only. It seems the default setup for Vista installations installs some security settings that might prevent the autorun function in the JRPropo program. Nothing wrong with either program just a question of the proper settings to allow the install. If your system installs normally there is no need to follow this setup.

We are talking about the (U)ser (A)cess (C)ontrol which will restrict acess to a computer for security reasons.

Here is the correct setting to allow installation of the JRPropo program

Go to START
Select CONTROL PANEL
Select USER ACCOUNTS (classic view)
Next Turn User Account Control on or off and uncheck the UAC box
Reboot (automatic)

Regards,

Highly unlikely that they will update the firmware for the 9 series unless there is a serious software error.

Even if they did, it would need to be done back at Service Centre level.

Hey Rc, I have 2 USB plugs on my monitor and 2 on the front of my computer. Neither worked, but when i plugged into the back of my pc no problems.

Before that I had a lock up and eventually to a blue screen. I must have uninstalled and reinstalled 6 or 7 times with the same blue screen result.

You would think I could plug it in anywhere and work but not the case.

Thank you all for the lesson(s). I am not going near this data nightmare until ALL of the bugs are worked out.

Thanks again for bringing these issues to light

Help? I just bought the product. Tried to install. There are no drivers on my disc (ver 1.00). I'm running XP. Is the driver available on line somewhere?

Does any have one they could email me?

[email protected]

Thanks.

Ken:

Can you resend the files in zip form? My Outlook strips *.inf files.

Thanks very much.

Oops. Color me stupid.

After re-reading the instructions, I see I needed to install the software first and then the driver. I see the driver folder on my C:\drive now.

I was looking for it on the CDROM.

Oh well.

Thanks for the quick response Ken!

I just got my transfer data CD etc printed out the Instructions , even had them put in binder at Kinko's for safe keeping .
I got to the point , following instructions - of installing drivers ?? It was a NO go , cud not find them ?? I am using Win XP SP 2
Thought I would back up my sailplane settings on the XP 9303 . After 3 tries , finally gave up - Is this something I should call JR
about ?? .... tom e

Don't worry, it will work. I have the JR transfer program (X9303 2.4Ghz) in both of my computers (XP & VISTA) and works fine in both. The drivers are a little tricky. Hang in there, if I can't help you, there are plenty of people on this forum that will.

Couldn't get it working on my Dell D620 laptop (XP SP3) ... screen kept freezing.

Installed on desktop (XP SP3) and file receive from x9303 2.4 works fine. However, program blows up when I try to print. Anyone got this figured out yet?

Haven't tried downloading to transmitter yet.

I feel better at least having some backups of my setups.

Thanks.
