Hitec analogue and digital servo ok with FASST 6/7/8ch RX?
I was reading that the 14ch Fasst RX have compatibility issue with certain Hitec digital servo.
Can I have confirmation these issues only confined to 14ch and no issues at all with 6/7/8 ch FASST RX in any possible combination as inn with traditional RX on 72Mhz. For example running 2 servo (digital and analogue) off a single CH from the FASST 6/7/8ch.
I'm planning to upgrade my 72mhz 9CHP to 12FG 2.4g which will come with the 14ch FASST which I will sell off immediately as I have no use for it and I do not want deal with the low volt circuit issues.
Mod, I have posted originally under Futaba but reading their comment, its not the proper section from it. So please delete the other one.

RE: Hitec analogue and digital servo ok with FASST 6/7/8ch RX?
Hi,
I own 16 FASST receivers 7-8 and 14, all running a combination of Hitec/JR/Futaba servos with no issues at all. The 14 channel that came with my 12fg is on a Jet that has Hitec/JR servos, so far no problems.
Per Futaba, only the 14 channel has the low voltage output that I think is only a problem when you Y two servos on the same channel.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Doug.

Some of the Hitec servos will not work with the 6014 R/X due to the 2.7V signal if you're running some of the powerboxes or Emcotec units this will not occur as the units have signal amplifiers built in. I believe Hitec USA will modify your servos to suit if you send them in, I dont know if there any $s involved. Emcotec do list servo amplifier leads which cost me in the UK around £13 per servo. The problem does not only occur when servos are on a "Y" lead.

What about 6/7/8 FASST RX with Hitec analogue and digital Servo?
Any known issues? I may have Y for 1 or 2 function but I DOUBT I will ever go to 14ch.

I don't know about you guys but, I would like better to send my 6014 to futaba to fix it then pull my 5955 and send it to hitec...
as I see, futaba made this problem so they should look after the custommer and fix it!
oh... and before they send the receiver back they could take a look at that heat issue?

Fern,
I doubt that Futaba believes that they have a signal voltage problem with the 6014 receiver. The signal voltage was designed to operate lower for whatever reason on the 6014 receiver. Those of us with Hitec 5955's, etc, would feel that it was a dumb design move by Futaba. However, Futaba, as you might expect, would not feel that incompatibility with Hitec (or any other brand) servos is a "defect". As long as their receiver is compatible with their own servos, they'll be fat, dumb, and happy.
Hitec built their successful servo (and FM receiver) business by making their products universally compatible with JR/Airtronics/Futaba. If there will be a solution, it will likely occur because Hitec has more riding on it, and is more likely to step up to address it in future servo designs. So, meanwhile, I would not expect a "Fix" for the 5955 or for the 6014 other than using a 3rd party device such as a Power Expander, etc.
