I am in need of the little jack in the back of the radio, a piece of jack from a trainer cord got stuck in there and i had to desolder it would let my radio turn off. the brand of it is Hosiden it has 7 prongs that are soldered to a pcb

No, theygive the do-it yourselfer any help.... a long time ago i needed to have a fuse replaced in my tx(this was before i had the balls to open it up my self), and they would not me tell anything.... they said i had to send it in..... its a 3 amp 250 volt fuse

as long as i can find the exact replacement part i can do it my self.... i dont have the patience to wait 2 weeks turn around time to get my tx back.....

Not in a place to look at the moment, but check www.mouser.com - very large electronics supply house, with quick, no minimum orders. May not find the brand, but that's pretty much irrelevant if you find the same contact config . . . .

Is there a part number on the one you took out somewhere? Once you figure out the contact config, the cross reference should be a trivial excercise . . .

I took a quick look at Mouser, Newark, and Digi-key last night, didn't find an exact replacement. Maybe if one kept digging a little deeper, but first look didn't show anything.

I really doubt if it was made especially for them, it's just a supplier that's not as common with the distributors here. I'm sure there's a place to find them, we just haven't found it yet!

Shame you are in the USA ..... if in the UK, genuine JR spare parts are available from the Distributor.

Slarty - no kidding, I can remember when it wasn't such a secret to be able to get a few spare parts like a switch or a charge jack..

Maybe the UK folks will ship to the states...
