Who makes the CS-150 Hobbico servo?
I'm thinking about buying the Hobbico CS-150 servo to serve as a steering servo in my MMGT but I need to know who makes it. I don't know if my existing AE servo saver will fit or if I will need different control arms. When looking at all of the servo savers, they mention the name brand servos but not Hobbico. I figured Hobbico was part of Hitec or something like that. I know this is the same servo as the tower hobbies TS-150 and several have claimed on other forums that both futaba and Hitec make servos for tower. Depending on if it's digital or not, will determine that. I thought it was a hitec servo but some people are saying that hitec servo arms won't fit it and Futaba ones do. I'm confused!

RE: Who makes the CS-150 Hobbico servo?
I have both the Tower TS-160 and the Hobbico CS-160 Digital servos.
They are good servos and are identical as far as I can see.
I think they are made by HITEC.

ORIGINAL: cozment I'm thinking about buying the Hobbico CS-150 servo to serve as a steering servo in my MMGT but I need to know who makes it. Hobbico - Tower System 2000 servos are identical to either Futaba or Hitec (except the rebadged Hitec digitals are not programmable), varying only by label and part number. Tower brand are pre-fixed TS. Hobbico are pre-fixed CS (&HT/HS). The Hobbico brand is sold to hobby shops, while the Tower brand is sold only by Tower Hobbies. Both brands are marketed by Great Planes.
Digital = TS-140 is a Futaba built servo and the TS-160 is a Hitec built servo.
Analog = TS 3000 series servos are made by Futaba.
HS & TS 2000 series servos are made by Hitec, TS-51= Hitec HS-300.
Hobbico CS65=Hitec HS-605, CS67= HS-425, CS71= HS-615MG, CS72= HS-700BB,
CS59= HS-77BB, CS35=Hitec HS-225BB.
Wire colours and connectors are good indicators of the respective HS-TS servo manufacturer.
