Default Throttle cut set up problem

HI
I have a futaba T8FG
I have been trying to set up the throttle cut out
when I set it as per the manual it works fine but the wrong way in that it opens the throttle more instead of shutting in off when I flick the switch
I cannot find a menu to reverse the movement
I have tried moving the pos arrow in the opposite direction and assigning other switches but to no avail
if I turn the servo it would work fine

Not familiar with your radio, but does it have positive and negative values? Try the other one if it does. IE go negative or positive to chenge the way the servo travels when you hit the switch.

Is your servo reversing correct for the throttle channel. I have the 8FG, the default percentage is 17%, at this point there is no change when the throttle cut is engaged, moving the value lower will result in the servo going lower, if the throttle servo is operating in the correct direction to start with.
Give it another try, and let us know how you make out.

Ok I have it sussed out
the throttle servo was reversed but the cut out part did not recognise this
I data reset the inputs and started from scratch the same thing happened
I data reset again but activated the throttle cut before reversing the throttle servo
Happy days it works as it should
must be a bug in my radio
would be interesting to find out if this applies to other T8FG radios
and if futaba know or are working on an update

I have the same problem,

tried out the steps you described, apart from the data reset as I do not wan't to loose all existing settings and couldn't get it to work.
I too am curious if someone else has come across this or is it just me not being smart enough to understand the manual.

Also the default setting is set at 135 in the end point
change this to 155 (max) set your servo to full shut /open to match the end point
this will then give you a bigger margin for the throttle cut setting
hth

Not a "bug" at all but rather a endpoint/mechanical adjustment error. Gibbo12 has it spot on.

Default RE: Throttle cut set up problem

Some how managed solved it.
Set servo to reversed to match my hardware setup.
I set the end point to 155.
Set the travel limits as required to avoid any servo binding.
I left my throttle stick trim on maximum top setting (which is my "high" idle) didn't investigate wether this actually affected the settings.
Then set the POS % to a value lower than the throtle stick position (i.e. the POS arrow < was set to a lower position to the throttle stick arrow > on the display), in my case I set it way down to 5% (maybe due to my high throttle stick trim setting).
