Scott how is your track right now? I wouldn't mind riding up one weekend and running some.
matt there is no longer a track here. its been leveled and seeded. im just hoping to use the space for a garden this summer.
i dont have much left to run with. all my free time is now spent on a target range
Nice, I'm hoping to make it down to the range sometime this year, but for now I need to conserve ammo until prices finally drop. I've been tempted to take up reloading because of it.

On a side note, the "track" just off 250 is slowly taking shape, it still seems to be a pretty simple layout, but now they have a few banked turns and a nice track stand. Randy or anyone else happen have any information on this? You can kinda see it in street view here: [link=https://maps.google.com/maps?q=37.998651,-78.355664&hl=en&ll=37.998212,-78.35624&spn=71.346612,99.667969&num=1&t=w&z=3&lay er=c&panoid=WPzY9io-CCC6K-LyHvPvqA&cbll=37.998212,-78.35624&cbp=13,41.08125232804905,,0,-5.156620156177041]LINK [/link]

No particular day - just when I have time. I have been busy too.....took a week off to paint and two week later took another week off to go up to Michigan to visit my mom and see my sisters. Back now and have more painting to do!! All the trim work......[img][/img]

I may try to get there Sunday - will just depend on how much work I can get done today (Saturday)....if it ever stops raining I'll have yard work to do too!!!

oh well .... there is always something for me to do around here - that is for sure!!

Good to talk to you - hope to see you soon.

joel

yeah I wanted to get out there but didn't wrap up painting for the day until 3:30...... The front window needed ALOT of extra work....the paint was just peeling off of it in spots, so I had to go over every inch of the window frame. Took about 2 times the amount of time that I thought it would. The window is 25 panes of glass and measures about 7ft X 9ft so lots of work!!

Glad to hear that you helped Scott out with the planes. He asked me to keep my ears open for buyers - but I am out of that loop. Oh-well worked out for him it sounds like.

I am going to try and get out to Scotts this Sunday - I know I say that almost every weekend but the home projects sometimes take longer than I planned. My bike is in the shop - so that won't be a distraction and I have Friday off so maybe I'll make it out there this Sunday.

I have to get me butt in gear and clean up my shop - my son and I are going to build a pair of stereo speakers and I need the space to work which is now filled with painting SHXT.

Lets keep in touch.

Don't know if this is a good thread. But was wondering if there are any tracks still down that way. Used to pass one off 29 when I would go to UVA. Would like to take my brother out. Haven't been to a track in years. Anyone got a word on tracks?

Hello, Most of us on this site for the most part have gotten out of RC and the track we all used to race at is gone. Some of the guys still do some bashing, but nothing organized like it used to be!
