RE: RC BUGGY TRACK IN POWHATAN VA.
When it comes to racing do you'll race by time or laps? I dicided to get a Hyper 8 as my first buggy. hopefully it will be out in a mouth or two. Here are some current pictures of my Revo.
BTW Dennis, I'm going to E-Mail you later on this week about racing at your track this season. I'm still working out my work schedule for I can be off on the weekends.
Thanks
Calvin

hey dennis this is scott. we are thinking about going 8-10 per heat and main. that will give everyone a better chance
of making the a-main and a chance to win. we are talking about 8 to a heat and main with the top two bumping up
to the next main. i think we will end up with a lot of very good drivers and i dont think it will be fair to only have
5 in the a-main. this way you can be in a lower main and still race your way into the a-main. i just wanted to know
what your thoughts are about this idea.
im just ready to smell the nitro!!

We didn't talk about the time of the race only having 10 buggies in the A-Main. I was going to ask about how long the races should be today but I forgot to. 10 minute mains are easy because you just pit once at 5mins but we will need people to turn marshal AND people to pit for you. I think it would be easier to keep all races at 5mins atleast this first time to see how things go.

RE: RC BUGGY TRACK IN POWHATAN VA.
yep --- early on I had decided to keep it at 5 minute quals and mains. Reason being exactly what Dennis said - this is a new race and we have several folks that have not raced before so I thought that it would be best to keep it very simple and easy. Plus -- we need a pit area at each track for refueling and that creates a problem too.
So -- For this firtst go round it really needs to be 5 minute races and mains. Once we are all familiar with the other tracks etc.... AND if I do my job correctly - someone should be able to easily step up and schedule a second race series during the 2nd half of the summer and expand on the ground work from the 1st series.

RE: RC BUGGY TRACK IN POWHATAN VA.
we can't have too many buggies in each heat or else we won't have anybody to pit for the drivers and turn marshal. i think maybe 7 buggies max on the track at one time. we need to have some people driving, some pitting, some turn marshaling, and the others can work on their cars. if everybody is involved in each race, no one will have time to tweak their ride.

Looks great Dennis .
Mac I'm pretty sure we are going to adjust the number of people in a race by how many people show up so we have enough turn marshals. The idea of having these extra buggies in one race compaired to only 5 is to make the racing go by faster and you have TWICE the chance of getting into the A-Main. It will save a lot of time because with this setup we might only have a C-Main for the lowest main compaired to maybe having an F-Main if we stuck with 5 people in a race.
Remember I'm not the official spokesman for theses rules!!!!! The people who are running the race know what they're doing but I am pretty sure we want things flexible so we aren't screwed if something changes .

dennis, the stand looks good. is the bar wide enough for the buggies?
