Engine knocking
I recently took of my cylinder head and the silver thing that holds the piston in. I put everything back together correctly. For some reason when i pull the pull starter the engine knocks like it is hiting the glow plug and it is kind of harder to pull. If i loosen the glow plug it is easy to pull and does not knock. Could someone tell me why it is doing this

RE: Engine knocking
didn't turn the piston around did you? the piston skirt is slightly cut on one side to clear the crank. i believe that the oiling hole, for the bushing in the end of the rod, is supposed to face forward as long as you didn't seperated the rod and the piston.

RE: Engine knocking
i removed the piston sleeve but put it in correctly. It was broken in at a hobby sho p thats it. I havn't ran it yet. i opened th motor just took of the cylinder head to look. But the thing is when i pull it with the glow plug in it knocks. when i pull it with no glow plug it dosn't knock all the shims are there that came with it the sleeve was put back in correctly. And i don't think the piston is disconected from the linkage arm because when i pull it the piston moves up and down normally.
