NTC3+ comes with AE's .15 and I believe RCCA or RC Driver did a comparison on the FT and NTC3 +, they were 58mph and 49mph respectively... I dont have the mags in my hands so only going off memory. Of course the FT had higher gearing and much better motor then the NTC3+ so it wasnt all that fair a test

ya, but the 4-tech has terrible handling and the ntc is a good handler and a racer. The ntc may be slower but it will beat it on the track b/c of handling.

Agreed. Speed is a fuction of motor & gearing, which is wasted on a car that doesn't handle.

WOW!!! this thread is still here. i took my baby out today for a quick run on the street. i recently changed my tires on it and got it setup pretty well in terms of power. its like a bat outta hell, specially in terms of spinning out. im in Los Angeles so the roads are all wet from the rain. the + just kept on spining in circles pretty much and i barely had the ability to control it. gonna have to wait till the roads dry out to hit up a nice lot and give it a good run. still tryin to setup the rs4 tranny to shift properly, or should i say at all. o well, ill get it goin eventually, even it kills it. [>:] on that note........ HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!!!!!![:D]

I'm back too Dmatko.....You would probably be better off with a boat by the looks of things around here in Fresno, all of the storms that we have just gotten passed over you guys first. Anyways guess what everyone.....after all this time I finally have a NTC3! I paid for it already and I am picking it up on Thursday at work after school. I know the guy and have seen the car run but he is now into Airsoft so he doesn't use his R.C.'s anymore. Only $100 for a NTC3 with the AE .12 and the 2 speed, not too shabby! I can't wait to run that bad boy when it dries up around here.

first off, congrats on your purchase avery. i hope you like the car as much as i do.

that white thing is a restrictor designed to keep the car a bit on the slower side, especially for new people. if you remove it, like most people probably have, you will have to do some fine adjustments with the engine. just keep workin on it till you get something that works out. im not sure what the factory setting is, im sure it tells you in the book that came with the car though. g/l, and watch out for those curbs .

well, ive recently had to replace some parts again. i let my buddy run the car and he ran it into a curb, and bent the header completely onto the body. i purchased a new one and will more than likely be taking the whole car apart. he also managed to crack the servo horn, which is no biggy. im gonna clean it up and get to finishing my new gt40 body for it. ill take some picks when im done and post em up if i figure out how....o yeah, i also finally got my rs4ss to start shiftin properly. yayayaayaayaa.

Most likely, it'll need about 1/8 turn richer on the HSN (at most), LSN should be fine.
Nice to see another north mississippian on the boards, btw[sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif]

al right i ran about 5 tanks to today and i would floor it and it would just put put around .. i know the break in prosess but it would strain to move checked servos all that stuff .. and it was getting warmed up and the damn thing just shot like a rocket i was like holly crap . ( knock on wood i didnt hit anything ) but it freaked me out when it took off like that .. . . and now the servos throttel twitches and turns left right a little bit when i try to go strait . does this mean the stock raido and servos are junk and i need to invest in a good systhazised radio and high torc servos . i like the car , i hit the curb hard today and just nicked the bumper and rim a lil .

$220 is a VERY good price for a NIB ntc3+. They sell for around $270 from ultimatehobbies.com.

Along the $220 range. I bought a refurb NTC+ in January from Associated on eBay for $192 including shipping. The most I saw one go for while I was bidding was $240. If if came from Associated they will back it for 90 days on refurbs. Mine has been bulletproof and still has about 21 days left on the guarantee should some defect show. So you can't hardly go wrong there.

Hey all i just got my tc3 plus about 2 days ago.. to all the people asking about a cheap place to buy the tc3+ i always like to buy from my LHS if the prices are in considerable range of the big vendors i/e (tower) because lets face it its a hell of alot easier and worth 30$ more to go into the LHS and watch them fix your car and they can tell you how to fix it! when sending your car into a big company you cant exactly watch how they repair a car. and id be willing to bet face to face a LHS would have better costumer service then a large manufacturer. and i have a question i havent seen answered or asked in the pages ive read (18) basically is it ok to remove the restrictor before you break it in or is that bad. i realize i need to adjust me valves before but , is it safe and ok to go ahead and start of restrictorless?

Howdy to all...

Bought a Team Associated Nitro Tc3 Plus Saturday (before picture on the left)...Broke it in and ran it like a bat out of hell on Sunday (after picture on the right). It was about 45 degrees the day I broke up the rims from power sliding, I guess...kinda cold, but the stock bling bling rims don't hold up!

What would you guys buy to upgrade these tires/rims to something more robust? I'm looking at these aluminum rims: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 , but don't know the first thing about what's good or bad with these racecars in the tire department (I'm used to Monster Trucks).

What rim/tire (or foam tire?) combo would y'all reccomend for running in Wal-Mart Parking Lot and where to get them (tower?)?

Thanks a billion
ash

How's everyone's tc3 holding up? Mine is definately a great basher, but I can't keep it straight on the ground...it's uncontrollable fast with that restrictor in there.

My TC3s are holding up well. I did a couple donuts with one of them and ripped through the tires over the weekend. I will get some pics of it soon.
