This is my R40 that I got about 2 weeks ago. I have my rubber "bashing" tires on in these pics but I have been running the foams. I have the Trinity Sirio EVO II "outlaw" engine in it along with airtronics MX-3 radio gear.

first off, the car looks great, wheels match the factory ones well. have you driven your r40 with the rubber tires yet? if so how well does it run. my r40 pulls hardcore to the left with rubber tires, under wot. replace them with foams, and its on rails again.

I have not driven it with the rubber tires yet. I just ordered a set up this week to mess around with. Why would it have a tendency to pull to the left under accel? Do you have the front 1-way on there?

Yeah about the 4 tires pointing forward. I'd had them off and on today getting setups for both foam and rubber tires. I just reinstalled the rear tires back on there backwards, thanks for noticing though

Well I asked about the one way because he said his car was pulling to the left really bad under accel. I dont know if the one way would have any affect on that or not but I'm not running the one way yet. I did order one just today though to give it a try for the heck of it. There's got to be more R40's out there with pictures!

Well when/if you get a new body show it off to us. Dirtbug....I like the rims taht your foams are mounted on. I've just been buying HPI foams and can't find any cool looking rims that sport foams.

I forget who it was or what post it was in but one guy said that rubber tires don't work well or they make his car pull to one side. I ran some HPI V-treads today and it was almost as hooked with the "pro" compound as it was with my foams. Once the tires got heat in them you could drive it as hard as you pleased, however I don't think there's any payback to running rubber tires like that because they were very soft and wore about as fast (if not faster) than my foams.

I was told by everyone I've talked to in the hobby on road that is, that the stock rubbers that come with any touring car are garbage and to use them just to peg people in the head with
Foams all the way.

No doubt ...the STOCK rubbers aren't usually the highest quality tires you'll see but I wasnt running stock tires. Foams make a major difference in handling even vs. the softest rubber.
