scraping sound
I have an rs4 3 with t-15 engine, i took the engine apart put back together and ran fine, but it was alot harder to start, after a little while there started to be a scraping sound every time the piston went up, and it wont start, do i need to get new piston and sleeve? anyting helps. thnx,

take it apart once more, and pay attention and make sure EVERYTHING FITS correctly, and smoothly.
if that doesnt help, then im not sure about the piston

hope fully that scrapping noise isnt the sleeve gettin scratched up..try to turn the engine over by hand..turn the flywheel and here where the scrap noise starts to begin...check the plug and see if the coil is still in there(which most likely is)

i turned the engine over by hand and its starts the scraping noise about 2/3 the way up and to the top, and back down a 3rd,
btw it sounds like the piston is scraping slivers of metal off (like a metal lathe if youve ever used one)
