Hi this is my RS4 3 SS kit i bought 3 weeks ago I was not happy withe the 12 r ss engine so I am selling on ebay now with tiger drive .I am going to up grade with a RB CONCEPTS V12 5 port turbo that I bought from R@B MODS pre modded at the tune of $340 witch is about $100 more than i payed for car Rick Brake said that it will be close to 2HP at 43000 RPM he told me to run a 1/8 scale pipe on it I have already bought the starter box as seen in pics and flywheel and engine mounts now all I need is advise on what header to run does anybody know or a rear exaust header that will fit the ss kit i sould have the motor by fryday so i will post more pics then please help with header advise[sm=confused.gif]

Um, your drivetrain might not hold up to that engine. I know for sure the 2-speed won't last.

And that picture from the website is actually from rb concept's website

That engine is gonna have serious power....hopefully HPI offers drivetrain hop ups.

Oh and I have a RD Logics pipe on my NTC3 and its very durable and stands up a lot better during the races then a 2 peice pipe.

NitroRacer-RB engines don't come with # info like other engines.They just use stars. The standard V12 was said have 5% more power than the RB X12. The RB X12 was said to have more top end than the MT12. The V12s are expensive though, but very great in quality, performance, and looks.

Personally I definately think you picked the wrong chassis to slip in a hybred 2 hp race engine, but to each his own (and be carefull) That car will scream in a straight line, just don't try taking a corner! You are in for a reality slap as the RS4 3 SS handle good, but you start getting real anxious on the throttle and your SS is going to be spending a lot of time on it's roof. I was finally able to pilot an almost bone stock AE NTC3, and man did that car corner! After spending a little time with one, I can see why all the racers prefer the AE as far as handeling.

You are going to need a new car to handle that engine, most likely are a Mugen MTX-3 or the Serpent 710. You did your research on the engine, now you need to do your research on the car choice and drive train. I would also recomend you get a good servo so as not to over-run the engine.

YES I KNOW THIS ENGINE IS GONNA KILL MY CAR BUT WHAT THE HECK IF YOU DONT HAVE NO BALLS YOU AINT GONNA HAVE NO BABIES RICK BRAKE FROM RB MODS TOLD ME WHEN I ORDERED THIS ENGINE IT WAS TO MUCH BUT I TOLD HIM I DID NOT CARE AND HE LAUGHED BESIDES THE MOST ILL LOSE IS A $200 CAR AND WHEN I DESTROY IT I WILL GET A R40 I DONT MUCH LIKE THE CAR SO WHY NOT HAVE FUN WITH IT AND WHEN I AM DONE I WILL STILL HAVE A BAD ENGINE AND BUY THE WAY I GOT MY PIPE AND TOMORROW I WILL BREAK IN ENGINE AND THE THOUGHT OF RUNNING 30% NITRO JUST MAKES ME FEEL WARM AND FUZZY INSIDE HERE ARE SOME MORE PICS AND REMBER NO BALLS NO BABIES

How nuch clearence is there between the header and rear wheel? In the first pic it looks like their touching.

No the tire is not going hit the header but it is closethere is about 3mm clearance

That is one sweet looking engine.I wish i had the dough to order one of them. Let us know how it runs.For the chassis after that one i would trinity G4 pro kit.At the local track that car is normaly getting the top spots.Then it would be the MTX-3.

That's cool, but why not just get an Epic .18 or a different .18? The epic .18 costs less than half of that, and it's rated at just under 2HP.

The EPIC doesn't even come close to ANY INFO as listed. It dynoed at 1.18HP. All the OS .18s are much faster and stronger than it for the same price.

that engine will SHRED the differentials to bits. and the spur gears will go right after. id be surprised if the rear dogbone driveshaft didnt break by then.

and if you didnt realize, at full throttle, the tire expands. thus the tire WILL touch at higher speeds. im thinkin about getting a THS one-piece for my 18ss. but when i buy a rear exhaust engine later, i would like to find a place where i can find a REAR one-piece header for my THS pipe. for far, i havent found any. thay are all sold together with the pipes.

The epic 18 will not touch this engine i have a os 18cvrx and it is not even close this is one bad .12and yes it is gonna kill the car and no when the tire expands it does not touch the header [sm=RAINFRO.gif]

That WS7 would slip the belts off first go. I know RB's are fast, but that engine just lauches my buggy.. My buggy is probably faster from 0-top speed that my car. It just hauls @$$

Acutally I'd never put a WS7 in my car, but you can see the buggy right behind it :-)
