VSM install
Chopped the top off of my receiver cover and installed the top half (important half) of my VSM. Let me know what you think: ghetto or not.

Looks great! I like the idea, i may have to copy it on my car. But why are you running the front tires with the tread pattern going in different directions?? Looks like the right front tire is running backwards. Oh and where did you get those wheels, their awesome!!

RE: VSM install
Wow, thanks for the positive response.
How fast does it go? I don't know, I just rebuilt this car and can't find the VSM magnets. I'm using a chunk of motor magnet right now, attached to the front driveshaft very near the outdrive cup, but I think it's sitting the wrong way, the sensor isn't reading it. I'm gonna fix it after I check all the forums.
Lmao about the tire tread direction. I really wanted to get pictures up before I left for work so I just threw the wheels on without really paying attention. Should have known someone would catch me.
And the wheels, yes they are very cool, my friends are jealous. I got them from eBay, there are some other varieties available. I've also seen them in RC mags ads. Heres a pic with the body:

Drifts ok but I seem to have more fun driving grip. If I could get the suspension set up to better control spinouts I'd be happy.

Hit 31 mph with the RS4 Evo. At this point the car is basically stock, excluding a THS tuned pipe. How much can I expect to wring out of the stock RS4 3 two-speed transmission? I wouldn't mind gearing up a bit, considering I could run a lightened flywheel for a little more snap.
