You need to back out the tranny clutch srews just a bit.

1) Look on the tranny clutch bell and you will find a hole. The clutch shoes are the grey plastic beneath.

2) Line that hole up with 2 grub screws (opposite sides) that sit at an angle inside the clutch shoes. If the grub screw is pointed directly at the driveshaft don't touch it. There are 3 total. You need the 2 that run beside the driveshaft. These screws adjust the spring tension which determines what RPM your 2 speed will engage.

3) Back the screws out in increments of 1/4 turn until you acheive the shift point you desire.

hey guys, well i come across a nitro TC3 on a aussie forum for a price i could not resist, there $500 AUS new in australia, and i got this one for $270 AUS shipped to me. Its only 4 litres old, the guy who owned it has a fair few other RCs and knows what hes doin.

Its only got 4 litres through it, including break in, was broken in by idling for half a tank and heat cycling for 5, it comes with the stock body and a beater ford body. Has a set of rubbers on chrome rims, and a set of foams on orange rims. Glow starter and spare stocker servo. I think im gonna have alot of fun with this, im gonna get a HPI TVR sagaris body for it,

First question, how fast does a stock NTC3 go? Will they handle ungroomed streets and parking lots well? Are they strong? I dont want to bump into something and it fall apart. How are the diffs on it? Are they strong?

This is it
http://ausrc.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=11493&PN=1

Hopefully it gets here tomorrow on friday so i can run it on the weekend, im anxious to get it

u probable built the diff backwards, ball diffs have to have the cups on the right sides, take them apart again and put them on the opposite sides, that should help it

i figured out what it was, associated makes two different types of tnutz, one is for the nitro and one is for the electric. Since im building mine fore an electric, it doesnt have a friction plate and uses different rings between the balls and outdrives and i was using the nitro t nut which is longer than the electric one so i gotta find the screw and nut set for the electric style diff.

finally got my tc3 fixed again and now i got a question. Is there anyway to get a better the car to turn tighter i have nothing done but for muffler and fuel line and air filter. I heard that a rally kit would make it turn tighter any suggestions what i can do to make it turn sharper but not to loose any of the acceleration? Thanks

Hi all. I am new to the r/c car world. I have quite a few boats. I bought a new NTC3 Plus. It has a pull start, and want to use a starting box. What do I need to do? I don't just want to take off the pull start and leave it all exposed.
Also, I love the car, It is bad a**. I run in a parking lot. Pretty well groomed. Had a problem with the rear tires, they came off the rim to leave some of stock foam insert exposed. I think it is because of crome on the rims. It is all stock. What kind of tire do you think I should use? A friend of mine, new to cars as well, bought a pair of foam tires mounted. Seems to handle a little better.

It should start right up... If you left fuel in it for like 2 or 4 months I would make sure all that old crap is drained out. It should start. A top speed off the top of my head would be 40mph to 50mph.

Hi all. I am new to r/c cars and bought a ntc3 plus. I love it.. I have run around 20 tanks of fuel through it and it runs great.
Should I use the carb. insert? Will I gain anything by not using it, or will I hurt it. Boats don't use anything of the sort.
Second, I am thinking of buying a different body. HPI has some pretty cool stuff. Has anyone used them or another co. with good results? I am not into racing yet, so body stlye doesn't matter. I have owned a few Porsche's, and HPI has some neat looking bodies.
Thanks, Mark

Hey guys I needed to know what pipe to run on my car. i had the stock, and now running a dynamite comp pipe which is good. but i actually want one that is going to be loud, i understand with the stock .15, getting load is gonna be tough, but i just cant here my car from a decent distance, especially with my friend whos running a 3.3 4tec with a rediculously loud tunned pipe. also anybody have any comments about the o.s. 18tz and the tz eb mod, i planned on getting the eb mod but around here the reg tz happens to be the most popular in the nitro tc3, im interested on the eb mod cause im addicted to more power and speed but im concerned about fitment?

well i sugest that you get a chasey that is as close to the ground but not actualy hitting the ground the closer you are to the ground the faster you will go also0 get the thin est set of tires that also will make you go faster also get like a viper top that doesn't have a spoiler so what you have the looks but do you have the speed?
