I am new to all of this. How do I go about choosing the correct tires?

Is there uniform system?

I just look at all of the tires from all of the different manufactures and I just draw a blank

There is no huge difference between the multiple manufacturers' tires. I ignored the suggestions from people of which tires to get. I just experimented myself. Some tires have better traction than others, and some last longer than others. It depends on the car, setup, driving surface, and the driver's driving style. So my best answer for your question is to experiment. Once one set of tires wear out, buy a different brand if you weren't satisfied with the ones you previously had. You can search these forums for tire suggestions specified to your car if you want. Also remember to buy tires that are made for the scale of your car.
