Good luck! There's not a bigger pleasure when you get something with your own money and you see the fruits of your tries! So whatever the car is, it's gonna be awesome believe me! Any other question you need simply tell me! Cya
PS: I'm also a boat-fun. My uncle and I have made a cruiser type boat 1m long only with patterns under scale available. We bought the wood (balses) and it took us 1year aprox. I can say that 90% of the job was his. I only strenghtened it with polyester. Finally we instaled 2 motors (540 motors at 12V) and a big 12V battery from a 50cc scooter. We use futaba 4ch radio from one trainer plane he used to fly and tere it is! I also made a cooling system for motors and speed control using a metal pipes around them from where sea water passes (i've made the input of the pipes near the propeler fins so the water pressurises into it). The water comes off from the right side of the boat as the real ones! It is very heavy and doesnt go over 15knots but with that battery you run for about 1hour non stop!!! I also love Kyosho lamborghini boat...check it on the internet.

RE: RS4 Evo/TC3
i would recommend the ntc3 plus becuase of two things parts and engine first off the engine on the ntc3plus is a 15x which has 33,000 rpms. you can then buy as in upgrade that is a z18r that has 42,000 rpms that should give you in idea of speed. on stock engine you may squeez it to 65 MPH. my friend has in hpi evo and it has 26,000 rpms so i always overpower him. the only problem i have come across is control so much power! i still need to upgrade to a better oil for my shocks. still running them on stock oil.

RE: RS4 Evo/TC3
How fast will the r4 18 ss go out of the box? and how fast for the evo? Granted I Know the engine must be broken in and parts checked out. I don't want anybody to think I'm new to nitro engines. I know you don't just pull stuff out and go like a radioshack special.

RE: RS4 Evo/TC3
Out of the box EVO hits 70km/h and 1ss 81+ (i believe 85 with a fine tuning to the engine). But by installing a good pipe and filter to 18ss you easy hit 90km/h due to rpm increase and hp increase. If you change gearing you easily hit 110km/h without much try.

RE: RS4 Evo/TC3
I have the cen CT5 and was only $279 and runs good. I think its fast I'm a monster truck guy and any time some one beats my truck in a race on the street I bring out the CT5, and thats all she wrote. I have yet to break anything on my car, the engine is great and it handles fine. The only problem is the weather . come on spring.

RE: RS4 Evo/TC3
Get the RS4 3 18SS
1. Very very very easy to built!
2. By builting it yourself, you'll know exactly how it works and it will be easier to fix if something breaks!
3. ALL the electronics can be removed by removing three clips, so it's very easy to clean (and it's important to keep it clean)
4. It comes with the 18SS outlaw engine. Break it in good, and you'll be extremely fast!!! (81Km/h)
5. The damn thing is a train!!! Sticks to the ground!!!
6. You can find parts anywhere on the internet
7. HUGE selection of hop-ups
8. VERY durable!!! You'll have to be a really bad driver to break it (Like me)
Look, I've personally won a traxxas 4-tec on a drag race with my RS4 3 18SS and I've also seen a race where the RS4 came second with 5 serpents competing. It was slower, but it handled better. Get the RS4 3 18SS! You will not regret it!

RE: RS4 Evo/TC3
Yah I'm starting to lean towards the 18ss. Can you list what i'll need to complete the car? Radio, lube, grease, shock oil, that kinda stuff. I'm asking so I know what kinda money i'm lookin at to get it on the road. I still have a boat to build and the parts not including hull engine and radio but just the parts alone will cost about as much as a car. Im asking only to find out how much. Ican tell you though that I'll have a car before I have another boat finished

RE: RS4 Evo/TC3
Get 18ss and then go to the two official threads. There are more tips than you need to go fast! I know this car very very well. Ask me anything you like either in my tread or pm. I'll help you. And yeap as I can see I'm not the only person who claims that 18ss is a faster mooving car on track than the 4-tec. Muscle cars vs german tuners...muscle cars dont stand a chance!

RE: RS4 Evo/TC3
You can get most crs to go fast but if it doesn't handle what good is it.If it only goes real fast in a straight line it's called a dragster 1/4 mile end of story.

RE: RS4 Evo/TC3
I have been reading this battle between the TC3 and the RS4 3. I to am interested in purchasing my first car. About two years ago I had a t-maxx but have relized that I like speed. After doing some research I have been led to this thread. One of the questions I have is which car has better support of the aftermarket world as far as hop-ups go? And could both of or either of these cars be competitive in a race against a RRRs and R40s with the right aftermarket help or with out? Also I have seen that there is superchargers and nitrous injection systems does anyone care for either of these or are they worth the effort?
Thanks!
Thanks!

RE: RS4 Evo/TC3
^^^^ no the super chargers and stuff are not worth it and the ntc3 is closer to racing than the rs4 but the rs4 has a bit more parts availibility, but upgrade wise both are pretty even.
