I dont know the name of the tool in english but at its end it has 3 razors ending to a common sharp edge. Otherwise you can use a common drill using 5-6mm diameter but with extreme caution.

for what i used for my truck yes its a hole saw....its a drill bit witha circle shaped saw on the end. it cuts a perfect hole everytime
