He is going to do another one possibly but without the 3 - speed I don't think he could get the motors and tranny in synch??

RE: BBC Worlds Fastest!!
Im not sure but I remember a video posted of a 103MPH single engine car from down here. I know 3 engines would make up for the torque but RPM will remain the same. I know youre adding 3 times the torque but with 3 engines, youre also adding weight and rotatin mass with all those trannys. The video is nice but 94?

RE: BBC Worlds Fastest!!
Don't count on it. The .21 might prove to be to powerful, too big, too heavy and might throw the balance of the chassis wayyyyyyyyyyy off. Won't know until I try it. The nice thing about the .18 TZ was it was not that much heavier than your average .12 it just dropped right into the R-40 chassis. If you compared the weight between a OSTZ.12 at 208 g's and the weight of the OS TZ.18 at 222g's the TZ .18 is not that much heavier than a TZ .12

RE: BBC Worlds Fastest!!
Here is a tape of highlights from the British Speed Championships. Ziggy got 103 from his hydra and that was with it stuck in first gear . Next year he plans on revising the tranny setup and expects his topend speed to go wayyy up. Here is a video http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RnHRqy-UPJo They created speed traps using electronic eyes to accuratly measure the speed of the cars.

Don't think the three engined car had enough room to maximise the gearing,it seemed to change gear as it passed the timing beam!?Strange how the nitro and the electric posted the same speed though?

Ziggy was having problems with it but IF he get all the problems worked out it should be very fast. Personally I don't think he really needs a 2 speed tranny.

RE: BBC Worlds Fastest!!
Personally i think he needs to use one main tranny unit rather than one unit per engine.
Also i really do think that you should use gears.
How many drag/race/landspeed cars (using internal combustion) use a single speed transmission?
Think you know i not being "funny" with you Nitrohead and i also think you can see my point!

RE: BBC Worlds Fastest!!
Steve Ponds car that went 100mph was a single speed and some of Serpent King's. With all that HP a single speed would mean less rotational mass on the drivetrain which should = more topend speed in theory. But your idea about one main tranny unit being fed by those 3 motors might work. His RRR went 100mph on a 2 speed.
