Beginner to nitro RC's, seeking advice
Hey guys,
I am a beginner to RC Nitro cars and I've been browsing online for a good beginner car. I think I found one but I wanted the opinions of other people before I bought it. I am not too familiar with all the terminology behind nitro RC cars, so, here is the car I was looking into purchasing.
http://www.nitrorcx.com/18scgasponi2.html
I plan on driving it in off-road areas and I have a few questions about it that the site didn't have answered.
1. What is the approximate max range I can go with the car and the controller.
2. What is the max speed of the car with the engine it comes with? I read that it is a 2 speed car, so I assume it has low, and high for speed but I am still not sure as to what MPH "high speed" is.
I realize that is an offroad car but I intend on driving the car on both off road terrain and street, also I couldn't find a off-road nitro RC car category under forums.
That is all =)

Umm, that link doesn't work. It just re-directs to another page.
I can't answer your question that well, but if it goes out of range, you'd better start running. I wish I could see it happen one day, sad news for the owner, great news for my eyes.
What an ass I am

with a stock radio I wouldnt go past 100 feet with the car.
i didnt see a 2 speed on it and 1/8 scale buggies dont usally have a 2-speed trany.
most 1/8 scale buggies range 35 to 40 mph, some go alittle faster.
i dont now much about that company but you might want to think about the thunder tiger eb-4 s2 pro v2 its only 229.95 plus free shipping. The engine is super user friendly for beggeners too. and good performance to.

another good car to start with (what i started with) is the Ofna lx series, its a great car for the money, and very strong, theres no need to worry about range, because at 40 feet, the car looks like a little dot riding a mirage, so u should probably only drive it about 50 feet away from you, it can go 200 though
