Questions on tire gluing
I always have problems getting a good bond with tires and rims. What is the best way to get a good bond.
I glued up some hpi touring tires to rpm rims, I did not prep the surfaces of the tires or rims. HPI said just run some super glue, in my case I used pacer quick ca glue around the beads and let them set up over night. tried running the sedan today, and the tires came flying off. No harm done to the tires and rims except for having the dried glue around the beads of the tires, and rims. What is the best way to clean them up and get a good mount job??
Id rather rebuild a motor than glue tires to rims !!
Thanks

RE: Questions on tire gluing
if they are the plastic plated wheels that are suppose to be chrome you need to remove that finish with a dremel or something that will roughen up the contact edges where the tires will touch, make sure the tire is clean and the rim is clean, then just glue them on there, i usually had a few rubber bands around mine to apply pressure until they dried
