Traxxas 4-tec 3.3 pipe?
Hi guys. I was just wondering. Alot of people recommend the THS pipe for the revo 3.3. Would it be the same situation for the 4-tec, or would it be different because it's a car? Obviously i'm thinking of changing the pipe so any info would help. Thanks guys.

RE: Traxxas 4-tec 3.3 pipe?
I'm not a Traxxas owner to be sure of an answer but I generally know that engine pipes used for trucks are designed for low rpm torgue. Touring car pipes are designed for mid-high rpm top power. So even if the engine is the same, different pipes might affect its behaviour. There wont be a problem for sure with such a pipe...engine will run for sure as good as before. But engine's response and top end might change.

Check out the Vantage carbon fiber pipe for the Jato,it is a direct bolt on for the 4-tec,Vantage Racing claims the pipe will give stronger bottom end and really open up the top end.
It looks very nice, lightweight but quite an expensive piece @ $85.00,I'm seriously considering getting one for my tec.

Use the XTM big block header here:

The point to get the header to fit the smaller engine flange is to take a small block header and cut the flange off so that you can jam it up into the big block header flange to make it fit the 3.3 engine. It made my car absolutely fly and I went from a THS pipe kit too.
Then use this pipe and take the baffle out...........Again it made a huge difference on my 4-tec and also is louder too.

yep, its really crappy packaging for such a good pipe, its like this plasticky thing, which doesnt protect it at all, i wouldve liked something i can place it back into while not using.
