RE: Best servos
You asked what the best are. I use one of these on the steering and an analogue servo on the throttle myself.
The 9451 is the ideal touring car servo cos it has great torque and speed and the drivetrain is light, so it won't eat your receiver battery. Furthermore, it's digital, and it's futaba, so it will last forever. If you've got the cash, why not put one on throttle too and be done with it. Personally I think 100oz-in is about right for the brake and the speed is certainly handy for throttle response.

No, it's necessary for fast switching, like chicanes. I find all touring cars have too much steering out of the box, so I use my dual rate setting on my controller (I use a 3PK too) to reduce the steering throw, giving me greater accuracy.

9351 is great for 1/8th off road, but is huge overkill in a 1/10th. The problem is, that the stronger the servo, the more current it draws, plus the 9351 is quite a bit heavier iirc, which matters in a touring car.

Well do digital servos make a big diff over analog. Everybody has there opinion some say they do and some say they don't. Will I see much of a diff or would I not be able to tell till I drive it?

Bashing around in parking lots, you'll never notice the difference, but at racing level, yes, they are necessary in my opinion. Digitals are more accurate, centre better, hold better and provide more linear torque through the servo's entire stroke, the drawbacks are that they pull more current and are more expensive.

RE: Best servos
Well 1 more race left so over the off season I was going to make some changes and the only thing left are servos so I didn't want to waste time and money. Then I want to tackle a 1/8 scale on road.

Yes, you should. Only takes one nasty rollover and you could strip the gears in the servo, it also goes some way toward saving your foam tires from chunking in a traction rol, but doesn't help much.

RE: Best servos
Yeap you're right about the steering servo. I've got a question...I think foxy will know since we share the same city at the moment . Well My knowledge about servos is limited cause I know much only for the very expencive ones and for the stock ones. I don't have much experience with mid range price servos. So what's a good steering servo for the RS4 costing around 30euros (+-5 would be fine). I'd prefer a hitec of a sanwa.

Dunno, never heard of that particular sanwa, and I don't know anywhere you can buy hitec in athens. It's just the right servo for the price area you are looking at.

RE: Best servos
why dont you order over the internet? you're getting many more choices at lower prices, i think having a servo saver on the throttle is also imporant, so its not straining the throttle linkage when you brake right? especially on the rotary carbs, gynaikas, the RS4 comes stock with a servo saver.

That's because A) I don't have a credit card (I don't know what other means of payment there are) B) i don't know how much its cost will have been raised by the time the product comes to my hands...[&:]

RE: Best servos
Yes they do...I can easily find what I want here but I find rc parts/fuel/hopups quite overpriced here...I was wondering if they're gonna end to me at their initial price or the Greek mail is gonna add taxes...[&:]
