Hi,i've got a GXR15 engine and it has some problems.when i got in my LHS the owner said me that the engine has low compression and the pullstarter is pulled very easy.second the engine becomes very hot so hot that the engine's head becomes purple from blue.third i must change 2-3 glow plugs every litre(i use novarossi glow plugs).how can solve these problems? do i need to change the engine?

it needs to be retuned, and I would suggest a new piston/sleeve...or just go with an OS engine

what kind of temps are you running that its changing the color of the head? 280+?

damm. i have ever heard of a problem that caused the engine head to turn from blue to purple. you have to be running extremely high temps. you sleeve can be bad, your tune can be terribly bad.

You have an air leak, it has ruined your engine. Get another one. It's no big loss, those Kyosho engines are not very good. The excessive heat (must have been well over 150C) has damaged the piston and sleeve, that's why there is no compression any more. There is nothing you can do about theis now, unless you get a new piston, sleeve and probably conrod and bearings too.

Get a good engine and a temp gun, and if you ever see it getting over 300F or 150C, shut it off immediately.
