ORIGINAL: Car-Boy
Why about where the engine screwed down to? That has to be tightens up pretty tight so the motor wouldn't move around.
I was so close of doing it but all these conserns came to mind. When I was gonnado it I was not making any holes but for the flywheel. When I grabed the 3mm material and twisted it it will flex a bit do left me wondering if I should use 4mm.
Well let us know how it works out and bi the way you might have to add weight to the front do your tires can get some grip. So this is the cool part about weight reduction you now can add weight to where you want now.

Carbon fiber isnt the best material for a nitro chassis. It doesnt let the engine cool properly. An aluminum chassis spreads the heat, the carbon fiber one doesnt allow it to spread out.

That's another thought I had about changing to CF. But fdjizm will only do high speed runs which he won't keep his car running too long.

CF Main chassis is nice for a show queen, but for bashing around, it really does not give yo uany benifits. For high speed runs, you want the cooling, so Iwould recommend sticking with Alum.

BTW, when Ifirst started back with RC10+ years ago, Iwas bashing all the time, but when Istarted to race, the only time my car saw the pavement was on race day on a track. Since Iended those days several years ago, the two cars Ihave left have been turned into shelf queens, but I'm getting the itch. But I have to convert them back b/c there is no way I'm running them in their current setup.

I'd say a 2.55 oz weight loss is a bit of a benefit.
But yea it's not recommended for bashing, don't do what I do

Oh, just get a body and paint and masking tape lol.
the holes you just place the body over the car and use a reamer to make them.

So I took the .28 out, and threw the .21 nova in, still messing with the gears and tune it's not really screaming up top but I'm fine tuning it.
Going to try a different plug as well, I'm running OD 97t and I got some 99t's to try.
I got some decent runs in today in the heat (88* outside), I think when it cools down outside I will get some good ones in!
Btw I am not running a body on this one, it runs great without the body, no lift at all.

Adjustable turnbuckles installed. These turnbuckles came from Hong Kong and was a ***** to install but they look good and work great!
