hi,
im new to this forum im sorry if im posting in the wrong section,
i have a hpi firestorm 10t which has a nitro star g3 engine in it (facotry engine) after starting the car for the first time in about a year last night a few problems were revealed, the car ran but spluttered and continued to cut out, closer inspection of the engine revealed that nitro fuel was leaking from the top of the cylinder, so i toghtened the glow plug and the 4 head bolts to a respectable torque, the same problem re ocuured. taking off the cooling tower it was clear to see the fuel was leaking around the edge of the head (circular peice of metal which the glow plug taps into) i know from working on "real" cars the cylinder head warps under intense heat (probably from a lean fuel mixture) can anyone shed any light on the situation if so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
thanks lee</p>
