binding??

Default binding??

so i just purchased a hobbyking dsm2 compatible receiver so i could use it on my dx5e in my honcho but i can not figure out how to get it to work, im pretty sure i got it binder but i cant get the esc to work all that happens is a red light on the esc comes on and nothing else happens, i am using the xl5 esc.

try switching the channel that your esc is plugged into .. its usually channel 2 but each receiver is different

does the red LED on the RX come on when you turn the xl-5 on?

do you have any steering function?

did you try adjusting the throttle trim?

thanks for both of your suggestions but i still can not get it to work!!<div>I tried again today and this time when i turn on the esc the green light comes on then </div><div>turns off when i let go of it. </div><div>Thanks for all the help</div>

the xl5 has a lipo low voltage detection when the light is green its on when the red light is on its off  ..ill look around for the instructions for the xl5  i would takes pictures of mine but all i got is my phone

i have the old xl5 that has no lvc.<div>also what are the calibration procedures the esc did not come with instructions, i just based it off binding it with the tandem mcx and it seemed to work, but no controls.</div><div>thanks,</div><div>Connor</div>

this came straight out the book i got with my stampede with the  xl-5

1.) disconnect one of the motor wires between the xl-5 and the motor

2.)connect a fully charged battery

3.)turn on the transmitter with throttle at neutral

4.)press and hold the ez set button the light will turn green then red .. then release the button

5.)when the led blinks red once. pull the throttle  to full foward hold it there

6.) when the led blinks red twice push the throttle to full reverse hold it there

7.) when the led blinks green once programming is complete     (the led will shine green or red depending what mode you have the esc set to)

they are to calibrate your transmitter to your esc.

If you don't properly calibrate the ESC, the ESC won't know where full throttle and full brake are on your radio, and can cause the problems you're seeing now.
